Photographer and Graphic Artist
Geff’s Galleries
Known for his striking black-and-white imagery and minimalist eye, Geff is drawn to form, texture, light, and emotion.
Geff Bourke’s photographic journey began more than four decades ago, rooted in the film era where every frame mattered and every image was crafted from start to finish in the darkroom. That hands-on foundation shaped not only his technical skills, but the way he sees the world—with patience, intention, and a deep appreciation for light, form, and story.
Over the years, Geff has developed a distinctive artistic voice, particularly through black-and-white photography, where texture, contrast, and emotion take center stage. His work spans wildlife, travel, street photography, birds in flight, and urban environments, always driven by a search for the deeper story within the frame.
As a co-owner and guide with Road Runner Photography Tours, Geff brings both decades of experience and a thoughtful creative perspective to every journey. His approach in the field helps photographers move beyond simply documenting a scene and begin to see with greater clarity—refining composition, simplifying complexity, and recognizing the power of light and timing.
Whether photographing wild horses, birds in motion, remote landscapes, or everyday life on the street, Geff believes that great photography begins with learning how to truly see. On tour, his goal is to help each photographer strengthen not only their technical ability, but their creative voice—building images that are as meaningful as the experiences behind them.
His artistic eye and years of experience make him an invaluable mentor in the field, helping photographers refine not just their technique, but their vision.
Geff’s work has been recognized in Black & White Magazine, LensWork, and the Minimalist Photography Awards, among others.
