Patagonia: Where Mountains Meet the Wild
Patagonia is one of the world’s most extraordinary destinations for landscape and wildlife photography—a place where towering granite peaks, turquoise lakes, ancient glaciers, and untamed grasslands come together beneath ever-changing skies. Every sunrise paints a different scene, every passing storm reshapes the landscape, and every day offers new opportunities to create remarkable images.
This journey explores some of Patagonia’s most iconic locations, from the dramatic spires of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre to the breathtaking landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way, we’ll photograph pristine mountain lakes, powerful glaciers, sweeping vistas, and the incredible wildlife that calls this rugged wilderness home.

Designed for a small group of just four to six photographers, this adventure allows for a highly personalized experience with plenty of time in the field. Patagonia rewards patience. The changing light, shifting clouds, and unpredictable weather create conditions that are constantly evolving, encouraging us to slow down, revisit locations, and embrace the unexpected.
One of the highlights of this journey is spending several days on a private ranch dedicated to photographing wild pumas. Traveling with experienced local trackers, and with only two photographers per vehicle, we’ll have exceptional opportunities to observe and photograph these elusive predators while always respecting their natural behavior and the fragile ecosystem they inhabit.

Spring is one of Patagonia’s most rewarding seasons. Fresh growth blankets the landscape, wildlife becomes increasingly active, and, with a little luck, puma cubs may be taking their first tentative steps into the world. Combined with snow-dusted peaks, brilliant wildflowers, and Patagonia’s legendary light, every day offers something new to discover.

This is more than a photography tour. It is an opportunity to experience one of the last great wildernesses on Earth—where dramatic landscapes, remarkable wildlife, and the spirit of Patagonia come together to create an unforgettable adventure.
The photographs will remind you of Patagonia. The experience will keep calling you back.

Why Patagonia
Patagonia offers one of the most diverse photographic experiences anywhere in the world.
- Mount Fitz Roy & Cerro Torre — Iconic granite peaks, alpine lakes, dramatic weather, and unforgettable sunrise landscapes.
- Torres del Paine National Park — Towering mountains, turquoise lakes, golden grasslands, and abundant wildlife.
- Perito Moreno Glacier — One of the world’s few advancing glaciers, where massive ice walls and dramatic calving create extraordinary photographic opportunities.
- Wild Pumas — Few places offer better opportunities to photograph wild pumas in spectacular natural surroundings.
- Patagonian Wildlife — Guanacos, condors, foxes, rheas, and birds of prey provide endless wildlife subjects.
- Gaucho Culture — Patagonia’s legendary horsemen offer a glimpse into a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for generations, creating authentic cultural and documentary photography opportunities.
While many of our shooting locations are accessible by road, some will require hiking. Most hikes will be easy to moderate, typically under a mile one-way. However, a few may involve moderate elevation gain, longer distances, and rocky terrain, requiring a bit more effort. A reasonable level of physical fitness will enhance your experience and allow you to fully enjoy the workshop. If a longer hike feels too challenging, you’re always welcome to stay in town and explore at your own pace that morning.
Patagonia’s weather is famously unpredictable in spring, with strong winds, rain, and low temperatures (often dipping to near freezing with wind chill). To stay warm and dry, it’s essential to pack layers, including thermal base layers, a waterproof jacket, insulated pants, and sturdy waterproof footwear.
