A Safari the Way It Was Meant to Be
Some safaris are measured by the number of animals you see. This one is measured by the quality of every encounter.
On this private reserve bordering Kruger National Park, you’ll experience Africa much as early safari pioneers once did—far from crowded roads, surrounded by vast wilderness, and sharing remarkable wildlife sightings with only a handful of other photographers. Without lines of vehicles competing for a view, there is time to observe, photograph, and simply appreciate the wild on its own terms.

Our home is a beautifully restored lodge that reflects the timeless elegance of classic safari. With just four private bungalows, exceptional staff, and outstanding cuisine, it offers an intimate retreat where every detail is designed to help you relax between adventures.
Each morning begins before sunrise with coffee and a light breakfast before we head into the bush as the landscape comes alive. Our experienced guides and trackers read the signs of the wilderness, following fresh tracks and interpreting animal behavior while searching for elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, and countless other species that call this remarkable ecosystem home.
Rather than racing from sighting to sighting, we follow the rhythm of the bush. Along the way we’ll pause for coffee beside a river or beneath the shade of an ancient tree, taking time to appreciate the landscape as much as the wildlife. These quiet moments often become some of the most memorable parts of the safari.

Back at the lodge, the afternoon invites you to slow down. Relax beside the pool overlooking the watering hole, enjoy a peaceful afternoon, or simply watch the wildlife come and go before gathering for High Tea and preparing for another evening drive.
As the light softens, we return to the bush where the changing colors transform the landscape and many animals become active once again. We finish the day with the tradition of sundowners—a chance to reflect on the day’s adventures while watching another unforgettable African sunset.
This private reserve has given us some of our most memorable wildlife encounters, from wild dogs and hyenas to leopards, lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and an incredible diversity of antelope and birdlife. Every safari is different, and that unpredictability is part of what makes Africa so extraordinary.

There is no place like Africa. The experience will keep calling you back because you know there are more images to be made.
